Very rarely will one find a teen book so well written using plain language that it remains captivating. Mainly I am biased, because it also has the feel of all the 90's teen novels that I grew up reading as a kid/teenager. One thing…

Good book :). but I just can't understand why the author made Elena so mean and self -fish. I imagined her to be nce and friendly. Anyway, I enjoyed the book and there were some suprising things in it which really made the story more…

Being a fan of the TV series I decided to give the book a chance because everyone says, "The book is always better than the movie." After reading the book, I thought it was alright. I thought that Elena was too selfish and mean, making it…

Great Book! I love it sooooo much! Elena is really awesome, even though I thought thst she was spoiled. I love Stefan also. Similar books that I read are Shiver and Twilight. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book and the tv shows!

A good read. Wasn't very exciting and a bit predictable. Towards the end it was a little better.

If Twilight readers want to read an actual ageless love/ vampire book. Look no further! The Vampire Diaries books are real-deal vampire books! L.J. Smith is a genius!

I wanted to read The Vampire Diaries because I had started watching the T.V. show and had heard rave reviews of the book overall as well. I figured that the book would be a lot better than the T.V. show, as most are. However, I found the…

The book and the Tv show is sooooooo different. I think they did away better job on the show than the book. Not that I don't like the book, but I was so dissapointed when I read it 'cause I expected it to be better than the show!

Two brothers pitted against each other and a popular blonde who has both vying for her attention? It's been done and quite frankly done better. I picked up this book when I found out that The CW network had picked it up as a series. I…

This author was writing the teen angst vampire thing long before Stephanie Meyers and does it much better, in my opinion. I am so glad that they started republishing LJ Smith's work because she has always been one of my favourite authors.
