Excellent read! Abit creepy in parts, however, could not put it down. Somewhat like Stephen King. Looking forward to the 3rd book of the series.

This was just about as un-put-downable as the first book! The character pool grew a decent amount (though there's one coincidence that may stretch the imagination just a little), it was nice to have more people to read about. I loved the…

The second book of Cronin's Passage series continues the story of the vampire pandemic with many of the survivors from the first book making a return appearance. This novel felt less graphic, and more meaty in terms of progressing the…

Great job...I loved this book...thank you

Much of the first quarter of the book is dedicated to tangential back-history for The Passage. While moderately interesting, it became predictable and redundant. I couldn't stay with it and only finished about a third of the book. It is…

#2 - The Passage Trilogy
Dec 05, 2018IndyPL_JillL rated this title 4 out of 5 stars
I was concerned that this book would slump as often happens with second book in a trilogy. I was so happy it didn't. Amazing what can happen when an author is given time to truly craft a story and not be pushed by a publishing timeline.

I enjoyed this book as part of the series but certain things were frustrating. It was alternatingly slow then fast, and I would have enjoyed it to be more even paced. It was a long time since I read the first book, so it was really hard…

Unfortunately, I waited too long after reading the first in this series. That, combined with the broken timeline, made this book often confusing. (I even tried starting over, after 100 pages, making notations of names and connections. It…

This one has a little more complex narration style and timelines compared to The Passage. Spoilers ahead… For me some of the scenes felt quite redundant. Though it filled many blank pages of the mystery, its not as impressive as the…

At least as exciting as The Passage with many unexpected twists.

Enjoyed the sequel! As always the protagonist, Amy, is my FAV character. Can't wait till book #3 comes out. :)

It was a relatively entertaining read - and am only reading The Passage now.

The first book in this trilogy, The Passage, showed so much literary promise that it was all the more disappointing when it didn’t deliver. With this second book, all aspirations to greatness have been abandoned, and a straight-up and only…

The Passage was a great read, but this second book in the series is disappointing. Too many characters and too much of a focus on military nonsense. It doesn't relate well to the first book. I gave up after reading a third of it. I'll…

Another gripping story. Looks like there will be a third one too! Can't wait to read the next one.

The is a fine sequel to 'The Passage'. This epic trilogy sometimes seems to be crushing under it's own weight but somehow Justin Cronin makes it spin. At times you might be challenged to keep track of all of the character and the numerous…

Loved his first book - Passages - but found this one brutal and gory - and with so many characters which is confusing if one hasn't read his first book.

Having picked The Passage out at random and loved it I expected a lot from this sequel. I found the first half disappointing, he introduces a lot of new characters and just appeared to lose his flow. The originality of the first book also…

Sequel to the amazing book "The Passage". Loved The Twelve as well. Again, how the book jumps around is really neat as you get a bunch of different perspectives of both the virals, the history of the Twelve, and where the main characters…

This was a great continuation from the first novel. I loved this book as well, and I'm looking forward to the 3rd installment of the series. I hope I can remember the characters and plot by then though. A reread may be in order.

I loved the passage, and this is a fairly good continuation of the series, but I felt like it was a little too similar to the previous book in plot! Still I'm glad I read it, very interesting.

This book is very up and down. Some parts are absolutely gripping and you can't turn the ages fast enough. Then other parts are dull, dull, boring. There are so many characters and they jump from one locale to another, it is really hard…
