The pace/flow of the writing is a bit off but the pictures are gorgeous!

Beautiful illustration really bring this bedtime story to life. A little girl just isn't tired, so her parents tell of how all animals sleep. She finds ways to get cozy like all the animals she heard about and ends up falling fast asleep.

We've had this book from the library for a week now, and my two year old has asked us to read it to her at least once a day since. It is also one of her favorite stories to 'read' by herself'. "Once upon a time there was a little girl..."

Pamela Zagarenski's rich and evocative collage illustrations are dense and rich and dreamlike. A perfect bedtime read for sleeping tigers and sleepy children.

The illustrations in this book are gorgeous. Highly recommend -- it is helpful for kids, who never want to sleep!, to know that all animals sleep, it is not just they who go to bed!

I didn't care for this book. It was a little weird. I wouldn't choose it to read to kids I was babysitting.
