Add a CommentThe perfect Halloween read-aloud! Funny, touching and some gentle spookiness. Great for K-2.
The title is much better than the story, that relies on well-worn dachshund jokes and some attractive illustrations and layouts to raise it above the completely ordinary. Pleasant enough seasonal fare, not so spooky that young children can't enjoy it; but nothing to write home about.
