Add a CommentMy 4.5yr old daughter and 7yr old son both love this book and the other "Miss Smith's" books. In the book a boy finds school to be something new and interesting when his teacher begins reading aloud from a magical book. The characters come out of the book with each story. Classic stories are mentioned. The teacher looks young and "hip." The principal who reads the characters out runs away to get help. The children take over reading the book -- reading more and more characters out of the book without reading them back into the story. The main character tries to get people to finish the stories so that the characters will go back into the book, but the kids don't listen. Finally Miss Smith returns and brings the classroom back to order.
