There are 5 best friends who are really popular at their school Rosewood Day, especially Ali. One night the girls were at a sleepover at Spencer's barn in her backyard and they were all sleeping and then Ali suddenly went missing and Spencer thought she heard a scream so she went to check but she couldn't find Ali anywhere. By the time Spencer got back to the barn all the other girls were awake and they asked her where Ali was but Spencer said she was gone. Now it has been 3 years since the dissapearence and Ali has still not been ound. i love this book and i love this show and this is the best show ever its fun and crazy

This book is about four different girls, Spencer (my first fav), Hanna, (my second fav), Aria (my third fav), and Emily (the eh one out of the cique; well in my opinion). These girls re unite over a death of thier very best friend and and thier worst enemy, Alison Dilaurents (also known as Ali). But how do they bond? Let's just say that a certian someone is digging up all these girls secrets, and well- using them against thier will. A certian someone also known as "A". These girls don't just live in Rosewood for nothing.

This story starts out with 5 best friends, until one night, the leader Ali, disappears. The book then fast-forwards 3 years to the separate lives of the 4 former best friends: Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily. They individually try to cope with the most likely conclusion that their former friend is dead. But, when they all receive text messages, emails, IMs etc.. from a character called "A", the girls just know their friend is back. They come together to find her and see her again, and they are confident in their theory that she is back. Until a body is found in Ali's old backyard, that is said to have been there for 3 years... Hmmmmm.....
