Released in 1931 - I think Dracula is something of a rare phenomenon, in that, over 80 years have now passed and it still remains one of the most compelling horror movies ever made._____ This bit of eerie fascination for Dracula cannot only be credited to the fine direction by Tod Browning (as well as this film's absolutely spectacular sets and excellent production values), but, it's also directly attributed to the mesmerizing performance given by Bela Lugosi in the title role._____ This 2-DVD set also contains the Spanish-speaking, sister production of Dracula released in the same year, which was filmed simultaneously with the Hollywood version - At night, using the very same sets._____ Featuring an all-Spanish cast, this film's Dracula was played by actor Carlos Villar who clearly didn't have the acting chops needed to project the same level of sinister evilness that Lugosi did._____ Both filmed in b&w, the Spanish version of Dracula is 103 minutes long, while the Hollywood version is only 75 minutes.
