A young Korean-American girl faces the difficulties of her changing emotions, and she needs to find her way soon so that she can compete in her hapkido tournament. In her world, Dik Seong Jen, or Dixie, is surrounded by her culture, and for those that are unfamiliar with Korean culture, the author does explain most of it. She is a blackbelt fighter, but a whitebelt in love, and as things progress finds out that the right person will allow you to be at peace with yourself.
