A well-crafted story for children by the co-author of the popular "Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society." This story is perhaps best for kids who can read it for themselves. I read it to my four-year-old grandson who loved it. But he also had dreams with flowers blowing out his nose when he sneezed... and questions about whether he could find his way home. He also wondered whether there were any real bad guys in the world and what the heck they looked like. We've been playing games where he is Horst (the bad guy) and I am Aunt Flo (the mean step parent) ever since. The whole concept of traveling time is still a bit beyond him, but just a tad. He is fascinated with the year 1935. I say try it for kids maybe 6 to 10 or 12. Exciting and stimulating.
