Not bad for an action movie, I appreciate it breaking the usual superhero mold and starting with the Hulk on the run and dealing with suppressing his inner beast rather than wasting half the film on yet another origin story. Still, it ends up being pretty by the numbers, the special effects are fairly unimpressive, and the action scenes overstay their welcome more often than not.

Much better made than the 2003 Ang Lee HULK, and with Edward Norton, a plus as he takes his turn as the scientist Bruce Banner and his alter ego, The Incredible Hulk. Dont stop to breath however, because before we know it, we're in a mish mash adventure of monster mayhem and action as the army pursues Bruce and Betty. Tim Roth plays the soldier/ hunter who will ultimately become the dreaded monster, Abomination. The pacing of the movie is also better than the first one and you get a sense of the humanity behind the Hulk. Worth a few hours viewing.

this one wuz better than the other hulk!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoyed re-watching it while I wait for "The Avengers" to hit theatres. My only issue was that is started skipping at some parts, especially near the end.

This one is way better then the 2003 Hulk movie. I liked it, but didn't love it, so I'll give it a 8/10, still pretty good though. And it had some Avengers tins ins too.

A great improvement over the Ang Lee film, which suffered badly because of choice of director, of course (makes you wonder what the same cast could have done with a different director).

Though I miss Sam Elliot as General Ross (he was the standout of the first one), Hurt does well enough with the role, and Norton, Liv Tyler, Roth, and Nelson are also well cast.

The climactic clash between the Hulk and the Abomination really works well, unlike the finale of the first film, which you'd probably need some premium drugs to figure out for yourself.

The first Hulk movie was awful, I still can't believe I actually saw it. But this one was much better. I'm not a big Hulk fan, but I still had a good time watching this film. Good action, fights, and it even had Tony Stark in it too. I'll give it a 8/10.

Must See. The Incredible Hulk (2008) ***½ 112 min. starring Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, Liv Tyler, and William Hurt. This is a significant improvement over the first Hulk film. Great action and special effects. Note the first fight between the suped up Emil Blonsky (played the by perrenial villain actor Tim Roth) and Hulk and the smack down between Hulk and the Abomination. One word - cool. Two behemoths punching each other silly on the streets of New York (in fact, if you look closely, you'll see Sam the Record Man - yes, it's actually Yonge Street). The interesting irony in this film is that the viewer really doesn't want Bruce Banner to ever be cured - we'd rather see him freak out, turn into the Hulk and hear him say "Hulk, SMASH"; which in itself may derail your empathy towards Bruce Banner and his love interest. Final thoughts - watch it and enjoy it. "Hulk, GREAT".

During the opening credits sequence, General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt) meets with Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton), the colleague and lover of his daughter Betty (Liv Tyler), regarding an experiment, Ross says, to make humans immune to gamma radiation. The experiment, which in truth is part of an operation Ross hopes will restart Dr. Abraham Erskine's failed "super soldier" program that created Captain America, fails, transforming Banner into the Hulk (voiced by Lou Ferrigno) whenever Banner becomes angry. As the Hulk, he destroys the lab and injures Betty. Afterwards he flees, becoming a fugitive from the United States Armed Forces.
