One of the best books I've read in a very long time. It's title is perfectly appropiate and this horror book got me into a whole new genre of books. The book was interesting and perfectly intriguing. The book was chilling, cute with relationships, and an awesome thrilling page turner.

Hang on to your seat, folks--this is a faboulous suspense/horror book. I read it all in one go as I could'nt put it down. Danny and his father move to Harvest cove and that's where the action takes place. A terrifying creature, love interest and off kilter friends all combine together to make this a great read for ages 13 and up. This author previously won awards for an earlier book entitled Acceleration. Can't wait to read that one.

Very cool twist on the monster story. The atmosphere on middle-of-nowhere Northern Ontario in the winter adds to the creepy factor. Eligible for YRCA 2011, so vote for it!

In this book, Danny, the main character finds himself face to face with some..monster. He lives out on the country side, in an oro medonte like area. After seeing this creature, and having an almost death experience with it, he can't get it out of his mind. He hears of stories of it killing others, and meets one elderly man who was the only one that survived it's venomous sting. Using the help of this old mans knowledge of the creature, his friends help and support, and whats left of his mind he captures the beast and rids of it, and it's harm to all people in the past.
