Summary
Add a SummaryThe back: At last Miranda is the life of the party: all she had to do was die. Elevated and adopted by none other than the reigning King of the Mantle of Dracul, Miranda goes from high-school theater wannabe to glamorous royal fiend overnight. Her reckless and adoring guardian angel, meanwhile-- fighting in human guise as the princess's personal assistant-- has his work cut out for him with the Master's Death Day gala fast approaching. Can Zachary save his girl's soul and redeem himself before all hell arrives, quite literally, on their doorstep?
Quotes
Add a QuoteI want to rip out my heart and hand it to her. I want to fall at her feet. To hell with the mission. To hell with me. I want to change sides. Then I smell pumpkin bread and the blood. I see the plate of crumbs and the bowl on her desk. Notice the stain on her lips. Remember all that hell implies.

Add a CommentThis book was okay. I'm not sure if it's the first, or the second, but I read it as a stand along book and I can say, I was rather disappointed. The beginning started well, it was high paced and enthralling, but as it unraveled, I found myself getting bored and wanting to finish the book quickly, just to know what happens. The point of view switches between Zachary and Miranda, and to be blunt, Miranda bores me, she has no emotion, or it's poorly shown across the book. Now, I'm not saying it's a terrible book, but I think the whole thing could have been executed a bit better.
very good, if you like books about the supernatral this one should be perfect
I quite enjoyed this book. It had a good plot and well developed charcaters. It's definetely worth reading
AMAZING BOOK!!!! Absolutely beautilful!!! I can't wait to read the third book!!!
Putting vampires and angels into the same world just felt wrong to me. It was slightly redeemed when the vampires' souls came into the picture, but the holy / unholy connection just didn't work for me. I felt as though, for the amount of times Miranda narrated, she never truly shared her thoughts with the readers. This put me off a bit. Also, Zachary's reaction to having his angelic qualities removed seemed a bit out-of-character to me. The tattoo reference is dumb. But those are just me being nitpicky. I did not think this book was well developed.
It was a pretty good book, bu was boring at times. As Carine_Dominique_Lavoie said it does not continue from the first book, so it doesn't matter if you read this first and then "Tantalize". I like how the author made this series, it's different. She wrote two stories, "Tantalize" and "Eternal" and then combined the characters in the third book "Blessed". So far the first two are good, and I'm sure the third will be just as good. :)
i liked this book! is there a sequel 2 this?
Angel and vampire mix, story was really good but does not continue from the first book "Tantalize".
