Add a CommentThis book is a food hacker’s dream! It contains easy-to-follow instructions for making your own marshmallows, bacon, potato chips, peanut butter cups and limoncello. And a whole lot of other cool things besides. I used the beef jerky recipe and the "how to make your own butter" instructions, with great results both times. The book is beautifully designed and illustrated, and there’s a follow-up book called “Can It, Bottle It, Smoke It” that's equally fun.
Love this book and it's companion ("Can It, etc.")! The recipes are soooo easy to follow you'll be making your own Kim Chee in no time! See that orange jar on the cover? Carrot jam. That's right! Maybe now you can get the kids to eat their "veggies."
A lovely book with many fun ideas. Want to make your own butter? Shake along! Beef jerky, marshmallows, flavoured brandy - you name it. Much more than just the jam and pickles I was expecting. The book is also nice to look at and would be a perfect gift for a foodie.
