Quotes
Add a Quote“Oh, Lily," He says shaking his head. "I know about love. About wanting and dreaming and wishing with every part of your soul. I know enough to reconize the parts that are real and teh parts that are only in my fantasy." Ge turns his head slightly to face me, and I find myself saying,"L-like what?" "Like when she cries and my heart tears in to little shreds, and all I can think of is making her forget the source of her sadness." His face is blank, emotionless. his words -and the underlying emotion bombarding me through the bond- more than make up for it. "That's real." my voice is barely a whisper when I ask, "And fantasy?" "Believing she'll ever feel the same way.”
"Wow," I gasp. "That was..." I can't find the words. He can. "Incredible." My eyes pop open and I am instantly alert. That didn't sound like Brody's voice. That sounded more like-- "Bet Benson could never kiss you like that."

I just have to say that this book fulfilled all my The Little Mermaid fantasies I've ever had. The descriptions of Thalassinia were beautiful and detailed and made me feel like I was actually there. I loved Lily's sense of humor, her toughness, and also her tenderness. She felt like a real teen girl to me with an authentic voice that really helped drive the novel. Oh boy, and Quince *squeal* LOVE! As a reader you can totally tell he's been in love with Lily forever and you are just on your toes waiting for her to realize it! I thought the progression of their relationship was very nicely and realistically paced (well as much as it can after Quince finds out the truth!). Forgive My Fins was such a fun, lighthearted paranormal read and I literally couldn't put it down (stayed up until 6am!). Already super excited to read the next book, Fins are Forever!
Not that great, but not too awful either. Worth a read because it's not very long, but don't hold it above priority on your reading lists. I found the beginning very promising, but the plot radically dwindled half way through.
This book is full of romance. So much it's overpowering. So much it gets a bit annoying. It goes back and forth between sea and land, and yet there is next to no adventure at all. I hate the main character (sorry, she annoys me), but the guy pining over her for very wishy-washy reasons is cool. I like him. Well, darn it all, because even though the book has a bad plot, I can't help but like it. I blame it on my teenaged hormones thirsty for any sort of romance, no matter how pathetic and dragged out it is. Yes, I hate this book. Yes, I like this book. I hate myself for liking it.
Fun summer read.
I loved this book! It was amazing!
Great book. Just loved it!
This was an Excellent Book. Refreshing ideas, watery concepts but soooo good. I was thrilled I came across it, and just the cover alone let me know that this was going to be something new. Well Well worth the few hours to read!
freakin' awesome!!! i loved it from the first page. i think readers can really identify with Lily's struggle to fit in, even a tottally syco case like me. a reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally great read.
Love it! I never thought I'd enjoy a mermaid book, but I did. It was a really fun read, and really cute :)
