I know that the 2nd book is about Red [or Rowan] I wonder if the 3rd is about Tanya rescuing Red and they live happily ever after,or something.

Tanya has been blessed /plagued with the ability to see fairies. She has learned to keep her second sight a secret from everyone as people - even her parents - are suspicious and afraid of things they don’t understand. Unfortunately the fairies that Tanya has met have been devious and malevolent and their meddling has resulted in Tanya being sent away to stay with her grandmother. It is here at her grandmother’s estate that Tanya joins with Fabian to solve a 50 year old mystery involving Fabian’s grandfather and a missing girl. Despite the interference of the vengeful fairies Tanya and Fabian persevere in trying to unravel the puzzle and avoid being drawn into the fairy realm forever. “A fabulous read for middle graders interested in faery tales and fantasy.” This debut novel won the Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize in 2009 and its sequel – 13 Curses - is now available. as much as like this book, i cant say it was wonderful. although the characters and and the plot are good, the resolution leaves you a bit confused and muddled. otherwise i liked it, but wouldnt recommend it for teens.

These are not your friendly fairies. Born with the 'second sight,' Tanya has been harassed and tortured by the fairies that no one else seems to be able to see. Being at the mercy of twisted fairies can get a 13 year-old girl into a LOT of trouble with their mother. Mom finally can't take it anymore and sends Tanya away to her grandmother's for the summmer. Instead of escaping the fairies, Tanya is up to her fairy-seeing eyeballs in mysteries and adventures. This is a fun read for young teen/tween fantasy fans who enjoy the darkside of the fairy realm. It seemed to wrap up much too quickly, so I was a bit disappointed with the sudden ending.
