okay, for me, it was horribly boring. this book talks about the old fashion plot (angel goes to earth, angel falls in love, angel is discovered, blah blah blah.)and the author's descriptive was very well done, but this book in the beginning was not bad, but all it talks about the main character( Bethany) adjusting to human life. but i mean angels are NOT dumb, right? but it takes like a MONTH! to adjust. the middle was really boring. and i have to skip chapters! so that i can read. i never finish the book because it is so boring that i just cant read it anymore. i rather read Percy Jackson series(duh?) and i must agree with izzyb14. (2 comments below) so if u don't like romance, DON'T read it.

Oh my gosh, the main character (Bethany) is SO boring! She thinks so simply and is really quite stupid (no really, she is. I know she's not supposed to know that much about humans, but I'm sure angels aren't dumb either). I thought the author's writing style and use of description was really great, but the actual story was just so awful. I only read it because I was mildly curious how it ended (...which was sort of a cliff-hanger so haha to me) and geez was the whole romance thing so bad. And I totally called who the other guy was too...

Halo follows Bethany (Beth) a teenage angel who arrives in a small town with older angels Gabriel and Ivy to fight the evil forces which have invaded. When Bethany arrives in town everything is new and exciting to her. She's never been human before so everything from clothes to ice cream is a new experience. When she's enrolled in school (with Gabriel as the new music teacher) she just hopes to make a friend. She ends up falling for Xavier, a mortal boy putting herself at great risk. Later there is an introduction of a dangerous force to the town and the risk it presents both to her and to the town as a whole.

A carved wooden box drew my attention. It looked out of place amid the boyish belongings. I pulled it forward and slowly opened the lid. Inside, the box was lined with red satin. In the center lay a single white feather. I recognized immediately as the one Xavier had found in his car after our first date. I knew he would keep it forever. - Bethany, pg. 484
