Almost as good as the first, Mickey Rourke was very good as the villain just wish they'd replace Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts but that doesn't look like it'll be happening anytime soon.

Perhaps one of the reasons this movie wasn't better received was that we had come to expect so much from Robert Downey Jr.'s manic portrayal of Tony Stark that the first "Iron Man" became too tough an act to follow. I thought that the sequel was nearly as entertaining, with amazing effects and oddball characterizations by veteran showmen like Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell, plus the smouldering appeal of Scarlett Johansson in a supporting role and the upgrade to Don Cheadle as Col. Rhodes. All in all, a good time!

Very witty and entertaining but not as good or memorable as the first one.

A second go around for RDJ as Iron Man does not disappoint. Downey owns the character of Tony Stark, inhabiting him once more as the hyperactive man on the edge with a motormouth. Don Cheadle is a very welcome replacement as Colonel Rhodes after the underwhelming Terrence Howard played the role in the first film. Scarlett Johansson makes her debut here as the dangerous Black Widow. Sam Rockwell is appropriately sleazy as Justin Hammer, a business rival to Stark. The only casting misfire, I think, is Mickey Rourke as a Russian with a grudge. The man has done so much damage to himself down through the years in real life that he seems brain damaged, mumbling his way through the film. All in all though, director Jon Favreau does well with this second outing, moving the story along, and keeping the audience engaged.

Great superhero movie, especially for being a sequel. Every bit as good as the first. Excellent job by Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. His dialogue is just superbly delivered. Supporting cast is quality. Great effects and action sequences. I was never a huge fan of Iron Man in the comics, but this movie franchise is great.

A fun super hero movie. Not worthy of awards or an Oscar, but is that really why you'd watch something like this? The bad guys were caught and blown up, they even betrayed each other, the girl kind of gets the guy and the good guy resumes his rightful place as the super hero for all. 'Nough said.

I want to revew Iron Man 2 and the computer does not let me do it. This DVD is due today and I don't want to get any late fees.

It was a great movie. I just the Iron Man suit because it looks so powerful and awesome. It is an appropriate movie for children and adults, but violence does occur in the movie. Best movie ever! :)

My favorite of the three Iron Man films. The emotional content became better, the villains a little more fun, the weaponry pumped up, cool machine tinkering, Black Widow delivering some of the best fight choreography in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a better idea of who Phil Coulson is, and a great revelation for Tony of his father, Some complain that Iron Man 2 doesn't feel like a story worthy of being shown in a movie. I strongly disagree. But from the viewpoint that this is nothing more than a sidestory, it is an entertaining and touching one.

Senator Stern: My priority is to get the Iron Man weapon turned over to the people of the United States of America.
Tony Stark: Well, you can forget it. I am Iron Man. The suit and I are one. To turn over the Iron Man suit would be to turn over myself, which is tantamount to indentured servitude or prostitution, depending on what state you're in. You can't have it.
Senator Stern: Look, I'm no expert...
Tony Stark: In prostitution? You're a senator. Come on.
