The oddities of this book, along with its entertaining style and fun characters make it a light-hearted, fun and whimsical tale. I really enjoyed starting off my summer reading with this book because it was fast-paced, filled with cliff-hangers and overall, very FUN. I would recommend this book to people who like adventure books and those who want a little break from seriousness to venture into the whimsical world of Homer Pudding. Very GOOD!

smells like dog is a very entertaining, mysterious, light-hearted, at times funny and very well written book. I found myself wanting to read more and more, especially since almost all of the chapters left you hanging. one of my favourite books.
