very unique series, gritty and darkly beautiful.

Awesome book. This show's how hard life really is and how you need to battle your personal demons.

Beck is awesome and so is riley. really good book. A must read. I was so closed to crying when paul died though.

A "meh" book, in my opinion. Lots of potential but the characters weren't likeable and I just hated the language/dialogue choice of words: there are only so many times you can say "yer" and things like "Ya got to watch yourself, girl" before you sound stupid (which the characters aren't) or like a pirate! I mean, I'm all for southern voices and such, but these guys sounded like hick-town pirates and I just couldn't get past it.

the title and cover drew me in (i am totally soemone who judges by a books cover) and I was a little skeptical about reading it. But boy am I glad I did. Once you actually started reading the book it gets rather difficult to put down. Plus the next two in the trilogy are all ready out!!

If you're looking for something different - getting tired of the vampires and witches? Then demons it is. There's a bit of disconnect here and there where the story could have been extended somewhat but all-in-all a very good read.

I loved this book! Riley has an awesome personality that makes you laugh and cry along with her. the love story in it is also really sweet. I can't wait for the next book!!
