Add a CommentI put on my best pair of reading oculars, pumped the bellows to stoke the forge fires before I sat in my most comfortable sitting apparatus, pulled at the levers to recline into a more suitable position and began a wondrous journey into the realm of the mechanics that drive the pulleys, cogs and conveyers that move the clockwork mechanisms forward in the world of Steampunk.
Most of the stories were quite good (I really liked Hand In Glove and the Ghost of Cwymlech Manor). However, that one by Cassandra Clare? Painfully bad.
Fun and engaging. I love the different styles of stories and the slightly modern twist on steampunk content. Like any anthology, some authors do better than others with the subject matter, but overall this is a great read.
A great collection that adds to the breadth to the idea of Steampunk. Fantastic!
