Yellowfang wants to become the best warrior in Shadowclan, but the former medicine cat, Sagewhisker, tells her that her destiny is being a medicine cat. Yellowfang goes through medicine cat training, but she meets Raggedstar secretly. Yellowfang then has kits...Raggedstar's kits! She abandoned them, leaving the identity of the mother of their only surviving kit secret, and Brokenkit is picked in. He then becomes a strong, but ambitious warrior. His father, Raggedstar, then appoints him deputy. Raggedstar so called "gets found dead" by Brokentail leaves Shadowclan to be lead by Brokentail. Yellowfang brings him to get his nine lives, and Brokenstar comes back as ambitious as possible. Kits are being trained as warriors and fighting in battles, elders are forced to live out of the camp, and fend for themselves. The leader no longer listens to the medicine cat, and Shadowclan slowly falls to peices. Yellowfang is accused of something she would never do, and she gets exiled out of Shadowclan by Brokenstar. Her apprentice, Runningnose, takes her place, although Runningnose doesn't like it how Yellowfang gets exiled. Yellowfang find her paws in Thunderclan territory, and sooner or later, she becomes a new cat, but she still craves for the pines of Shadowclan.
