What they find will set them on a hunt for a prize greater than they could ever imagine. The clues point to the hidden tomb of Attila the Hun, the High King who was reportedly buried with a vast fortune of gold and jewels and plunder . . . a bounty that has never been found. As they follow the trail through Hungary, Italy, France, Russia, and Kazakhstan--a trail that they discover leads them not to one tomb, but five--the Fargos will find themselves pitted against a thieving group of amateur treasure hunters, a cunning Russian businessman, and a ruthless Hungarian who claims direct descent from Attila himself . . . and will stop at nothing to claim the tombs' riches as his own.

Add a CommentThe Tombs --- by Clive Cussler. As usual, Cussler delivers a novel with lots of pow and bam. The hunt is on for the tombs and treasures of Attila the Hun. The action takes us across Europe, into Russia and finally back home to the US of A. This one, like his others just begs to be made into an action flick. A great book of the action and violence genre that Cussler is so good at.
I have always enjoyed reading Cusslers books. I couldn't get into this one. Read about 100 pages and had to put it down. I am very disappointed.
A switch in co-authors is for the best as the main characters, Sam and Remi Fargo, aren't as sappy as in previous books in this series. Good action yarn without a lot of the sanctimony of previous efforts.
i used to enjoy cussler books. until he began collaberation with other authors , They have lost the edge, and supensefull descriptive style . if uto read him now, stick with the new stuff as u will be sorely disappointed if u begin to read the older and then the new awfull stuff
