I found this book easy to understand and well-paced. This topic can be opaque for young children, but I feel this book makes it very accessible. The pictures are beautiful and the wording is very clear and uncomplicated.

While a very informative book that has beautiful, classic drawings, the book is lengthy and wordy for a picture book. I'm not sure that it would hold the attention of a younger child. A beautiful story, though!
