Add a CommentThis outstanding picture book packs a sophisticated, meaningful story into a relatively small number of words, and the illustrations are colorful and imaginative. I actually teared up a little at the end! This is one to recommend to people young and old!
This short (13 minutes) animated short has won a host of awards, including the 2012 "Best Animated Short" Academy Award, & deservedly so. Any book lover, librarian, or whimsical person will become an instant fan. Put me down!
The setting of "The Fantastic Flying Books..." is a place that represents what books do all the time, they draw you into their fantastical world's and adventures, and help you to fly...at least figuratively.
beautiful story and illustrations. You can watch the 15 minute short film on youtube.
