Add a CommentA great book - rabbit is so optimistic, I love it!
Rabbit is unflaggingly optimistic, while his friend Mouse tends to see things a bit more negatively. Using only the words in the title (plus one additional word at the end), Good News, Bad News tells a very funny story about a picnic plagued by problems - a rainstorm, pests, and even lightning that sizzles the two friends to cinders in animated-cartoon style ("sensitive readers beware," warns Kirkus Reviews). Until this final mishap, Rabbit sees the bright side of or a solution to every challenge, but it's Mouse who has a positive attitude, at last, in the end. Picture books January 2013.
The title contains the only four words you will find in the this book. The illustrations tell the rest of the story. My children (3 and 6) really responded to it, and like to read it again and again.
A hilarious picture book that even older kids (and adults!) will enjoy.
