Life is nothing but a series of events unfolding one after another. A man dies, a leave sprouts from the mud, a lion licks her cub and grumbles -- it's all the same as a stone set in the earth waiting for the world to explode.

Two thought provoking original stories from Mosley, one a sci-fic on a whole new world brought on by a neural science breakthrough; the other about musings of the mysterious present, past and future of a boring middle aged man who was found abandoned as a newborn.
