Lauren, a psychologist as well as an author, is using this book as a form of personal Narrative Therapy in trying to figure out just how much we should be allowed to love our pets when it comes to morality, ethics, and those in her life who are not animal-lovers. Her research and personal insight are a delightful read that anyone who has ever paid a vet bill can truly enjoy!
