I like how Annie likes to use her imagination. I like how they read the book and wish to see the Pteranodon and then a Pteranodon comes to life.
Jack and Annie discover a mysterious treehouse full of books in their neighbourhood. As Jack is leafing through a book on dinosaurs, the treehouse is transported back in time to the age of the dinosaurs. Can Jack and Annie make it back to their own time before they are eaten by the Tyranosaurus Rex? And does the medallion that they find belong to the owner of the treehouse? This book, while formulaic, is exciting to the beginning reader who can finally read on their own. It is also a lovely read aloud for the young non reader, with it's episodic nature making it perfect for bedtime storytime.
This book is great! The whole series is great. My son is in kindergarten and he loves this whole series. It's also a series that I love reading with him and discovering what happens with him. This is a great series to share with your young children. It's great for girls and boys...probably from the ages of 5-10 years old. It's a great way to introduce short chapter books to young children.
A good book for young children ages 10 and under.
