Catherine is not your typical medieval “lady”. She has wit and spunk and a whole lot of attitude. The book is extremely funny, while giving you a real taste of what life would have been like during the 11th Century. Although, you may no longer dream of being medieval royalty, you will wish you could meet this engaging teen.

This book is very funny and insightful as to 11 century living. It is such a good read. Both my daughters enjoyed this book as early as age 8. Some words needed explaining, like "vespers" but it increased their vocabulary and comprehension as well as tickled the funny bone.
