Summer 2021 Reading Colors Your World: Henna Body Art for Teens

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Please join us for a virtual program for teens about henna body art! This program is for teens only ages 13-17. Participants will learn about the history and tradition of henna and have an opportunity to create a design on paper or on themselves with a natural, organic chemical free paste!

Once you register, email and specify what library location you will be picking up your henna.

You will need to pick up henna at your specified library location between Monday July 19-Wednesday July 21st.

This class is taught by Rachel-Anne Palacios, who is an Afro-Chicana Oakland native, multi-cultural arts educator, and self taught folk artist. She has been creating and sharing art that reflects her respect for culture, spirituality, traditional values, elders and the cycle of life and death with the community for more than 20 years.
