The spice is Aleppo pepper, also known as the Halaby pepper. It has a mild, slightly sweet and tangy heat. The Aleppo pepper is often used in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Turkish cuisine. 

The kit contains a sample of the spice, a couple tasty recipes, and book recommendations! Be sure to pick one up while supplies last.
