Saratoga Safety

7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Saratoga Library

Description

Are you ready if a wildfire, earthquake or unexpected strikes? Saratoga's Neighborhood Watch and CERT programs help keep the community safe. Join us at "Saratoga Safety" to learn more about these programs and how you can contribute to keeping Saratoga safe and prepared in the event of a disaster.

Agenda

7:00 to 7:45 PM: Neighborhood Watch - Saratoga's Neighborhood Watch Lead, Dory Albert, will describe the objectives, benefits and how to start a Neighborhood Watch group in your area.

7:45 to 8:30 PM: CERT - Chuck Rader, the Volunteer Program Lead for Saratoga’s CERT, will present an overview of the national and the city’s CERT programs. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about what CERT training includes and how you can contribute to community preparedness and response to disasters in addition to preparing your own family.

For accessibility accommodations (ex. ASL), please fill out the online form at sccld.org/accessibility 7+days prior to the event. If you need assistance with the form, speak with a staff member at your local library, call (408) 540-3945, or email us at ask@sccl.org.
