Virtual Author Talk: Joseph Lee

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Description

Join us online for a conversation with journalist and author Joseph Lee as he discusses his powerful memoir, Nothing More of This Land: Community, Power, and the Search for Indigenous Identity. Drawing from his experience growing up Aquinnah Wampanoag on Martha’s Vineyard, Lee explores what it means to be Indigenous today amid the pressures of land loss, cultural erosion, and colonial legacy.

Through personal stories and dialogues with Indigenous leaders, artists, and scholars, Lee examines identity, belonging, and resilience. His memoir offers a fresh perspective on community, weaving together themes of language, climate change, and the enduring fight to preserve Indigenous heritage.

This program is part of the Santa Clara County Library District's Native American Heritage Month.
