Text from presenter:
Years before the civil war that is now continuing to envelop the African nation of Sudan, a small group of intrepid travelers visited this fascinating country of welcoming people. On the upper Nile River, this land, then known as Nubia, was once part of ancient Egypt and features an abundance of pyramids, tombs, and holy sites relatively unknown to most Western travelers.
Bruce Berger has documented this adventure in his extraordinary video that includes ancient pyramids, stunning desert scenery, and interactions with Sudan’s people, from the isolated nomads in the desert to the university students in the capital city of Khartoum. This program will be an eye-opening look into a land less traveled but which should not be forgotten.
Program is free and open to the public. No registration necessary.
