Great movie and it's nice to see that they kept the feel of the original. This is what makes sequels work!
One of the best things about this movie is that they did NOT revert to a sort of status quo from the first movie. In other words, they didn't just try to repeat what worked the first time. They allowed the character to retain the growth he'd achieved from the first film. Kid's movies aren't always brave enough to do that in sequels, but this one did.
This was a good second movie, it ties in well with the 3rd one. Recommended
Life is interesting because of what you do, but also how you come to do it. Po, our protagonist with the most adorable personality, is set upon a path that he never could have imagined for himself. Training with the best martial arts warriors, he must overcome his inner and outer demons. I think this movie is iconic because it showcases that each one of us is a little more than we think. And I recommend it for children and adults alike, who may need a little motivation in their lives day to day.

This is by far the best in this trilogy, packing in tons of fun action, and adding in more depth in the narrative. Kung Fu Panda 2 has a lot of qualities that makes it a wonderful film. It keeps all what made the first film great, and builds on it. For instance, we see more of Poe's dad, seeing him deal with his son leaving him to go fight for Kung Fu, and how it makes him really sad. Plus the villian in this movie, Lord Chen, has a lot more deatailed character ark in this movie. He is kinda like the Thanos of Kung Fu Panda, being the natural evil villain, but doing it for a purpose. While Thanos is trying to create balance in the universe by wiping out half of all life to make peace, Lord Chen is trying to take over China and kill Kung Fu because he wants to please his deceased parents, the same parents who banished him for Panda genocide. But even with all this lovely goodness of story writting, there are a few not so good parts. For instance, the fight scenes are not as spectacular in this film, and Shifu only has a few scenes, taking up more of a wise old master then a kick-butt warrior. But with these set back, Kung Fu Panda 2 still has a load of fun, heart, and crazy Jack Black Combat! HI-YA!!!! 4.7/5

I absolute love it!!! Perfect for the whole family!!!!!!! It is total awesome!!!!!
What? Po's father is not really a goose, but a Panda? Slap stick humor, brave friends and an evil peacock complete the rest of the story.
Beautiful opening and closing graphics.
Jack Black is hilarious as "Po". Entertaining till the end. The animation was fantastic.
the movie was very good! not really as good as the first one but still a winner in my book! :-)
Kung Fu Panda 2: A piece pertaining to practitioners of inner peace and of inner possibilities. Po, the kung-fu panda, exudes powerful positive energy in ample abundance in whatever he seems to be doing… even if at certain moments, that is the only thing he is capable of doing. Of the group, I had liked that he, Po, was a likable leader... in that he had seen the awesomeness in his friends... I had liked how he, Po, was surrounded by not just friends, but ferocious friends of the awesomekind, wunderkind, and hero kind. He, Po, being a hero himself, seems to see these qualities more so in others than in himself. I had thought that the villain, being the banished peacock prince and his persona, was/were well fleshed out. I enjoyed the various three (maybe 4) deviating art styles… they were rather a nice narrative treat. As an example of where the art style deviated, one had occurred as Poe was dreaming; and there, where, while, and when, he was dreaming, his perceived persona as to us the viewers, had changed dynamical and mechanical in art and animation form. Excellent movie. Very touching ending, which explains who is father is - very cute!
A very good sequel! And (spoiler) I knew it! I knew it! I knew Po must have been adopted or something!
This is a worthy sequel with alot action and with great story telling. I can't wait for part 3.
For some reason, I couldn't finish playing the last part of the blu-ray disc of this movie from MPL so I had to get the DVD counterpart to see the last part of this extraordinarily well made movie! Even better than Kung Fu Panda I, this one is worth lining up for!
I loved the first one, and this one is even better. My little boy loved it too. The CG will blow you away and make you want to buy it on blu-ray.
I love this movie soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! It is much more serious than the other one. I cried at Po's vision. It is so sad how his mom risked her life for Po......
