Best iron man movie yet! Robert Downey Jr. really knows how to make a on the edge of your seat kind of movie.
“You know, and thank you, by the way, for listening. But something about just getting it off my chest and putting it out there in the atmosphere instead of holding this in. I mean, this is what gets people sick, you know. Wow. I had no idea you were such a good listener. To be able to share all my intimate thoughts, my experiences with someone, it just cuts the weight of it in half, you know. It’s like a snake swallowing its own tail. Everything comes full circle. And—and the fact that you’ve been able to help me process….” As “a famous man once said, ‘We create our own demons.’ Who said that? What does that even mean? Didn’t matter. I said it ‘cause he said it. So now, he was famous and it was basically said by two well-known guys. I don’t… uhh… I’m gonna start again. Let’s track this from the beginning.” Yup. “Blow somethin’ up? I already did that. I’m not saying that the world is enjoying its longest period of uninterrupted peace in years because of me. I’m not saying… that from the ashes of captivity… never has a greater Phoenix metaphor been personified in human history. I’m not saying that Uncle Sam can kick back on a lawn chair, sippin’ on an iced tea, because I haven’t come across anyone who’s man enough to go toe to toe with me on my best day. Please… It’s not about me. It’s not about… you. It’s not even about us, it’s about legacy. It’s about what we choose to leave behind for future generations and that’s why, for the next year and for the first time since 1974, the best and brightest men and women of nations and corporations the world over will pool their resources, share their collective vision to leave behind a brighter future. It’s not about us! Therefore what I am saying, if I’m saying anything,” is… “‘is it better to be feared or respected?’ I say, is it too much to ask for both? With that in mind I humbly present you the crown jewel of Stark Industries’ Freedom Line. It’s the first missile system to incorporate the latest in proprietary Repulsor Technology. They say that the best weapon is the one that you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once. That’s how Dad did it, that’s how America does it…and it’s worked out pretty well so far. Find an excuse to let one of these off the chain, and I personally guarantee you the bad guys won’t even want to come out of their caves.” (Massive explosion occurs.) “And so, as Christmas morning began, my journey was at its end. You start with something pure. Something exciting. Then come the mistakes, the compromises. We create our own demons. As promised, I got Pepper sorted out. Took a little tinkering. But then I thought ‘why stop there?’ Of course there are people who say progress is dangerous, but then I bet none of those idiots ever had to live with a chest full of shrapnel. And now, neither will I. Let me tell you: that was the best sleep I’d had in years. So if I were to wrap this up tight with a bow or whatever, I guess I’d say my armor, it was never a distraction or a hobby, it was a cocoon. And now, I’m a changed man. You can take away my house, all my tricks and toys. One thing you can’t take away... I am Iron Man.” And “you know, and thank you, by the way, for listening. But something about just getting it off my chest and putting it out there in the atmosphere instead of holding this in…”
[Iron Man 3] is a:
A: A psychological study on Tony Stark / Iron Man after the events of [The Avengers].
B: A billion dollar grossing thank you to fans of Marvel Studios and Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark.
C: A 131 minute post-post-credit scene of [The Avengers].
Solid acting from Downey and Gwyneth Paltrow, though.
#44 – “I’m not that kind of doctor.”
Great movie!! The difference between iron man 1 Tony stark and iron man 3 tony stark is incredible in a very good way! Best iron man movie yet!!
By far my least favorite marvel movie to date. It's slow, convoluted, and is just trying too hard. I will admit that there are some funny parts in it and some moments where I was actually entertained, but overall I was not impressed and have no intention of rewatching it anytime soon. Very glad I didn't pay to see it in theaters.
While the Mandarin reveal is a little shocking, I still find it an enjoyable movie. Robert Downy Jr. shines as Stark and the after effects of the Avengers are well done. The final battle is wonderful fun. A good MCU film that works well enough to be a good ride.
Forgetable, still a good movie. Just not good comparable to the rest of the MCU. reginator is right, Mandarin would have been great to keep as a future and legitimate villain.
lots of things blow up. I like things blowing up. espacailly when im doing it in a game
I thought this movie was a little better than Iron Man 2. Wished they kept the Mandarin as a legit villain. Oh well!?!
I enjoyed this movie much more than others. Obviously it was not better than the first (one of the best marvel movies) but delivered a good Iron Man story and villain (another thing many people disagree about). I definitely thought they could do better having Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin, but i still thought it was a decent Marvel movie.
This movie was very important for Tony Stark’s character development. I think that they did a great job at making him more vulnerable and, in turn, humbled, which was important in order to connect with him. Furthermore, the story line was continuously interesting, the new characters were likeable, and the plot was well-written. I still prefer the first Iron Man movie; however, I think that this movie worked well with his “series”. I would definitely recommend the Iron Man movies to other people, of all ages. I was not at all disappointed, and I don’t think you will be either! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
Iron Man 3 is the last part of the Iron Man movie series. In this movie Tony Stark’s life once again is torn apart by a terrorist called mandarin. Tony Stark must stop him from killing the president, and save Pepper Potts at the same time. I personally like this movie better because this movie has a bit more romance than the other iron Man movies. This move shows how much Tony cares for Pepper, and the people around him. Other than romance this movie is full of action, and of course comedy. Iron man will always be my favourite marvel superhero, and this movie made me like him even more. I would rate this move 5 out of 5 stars.

In my opinion this iron man movie is one of the best super hero movies of all time. I loved this movie a lot because it had some of the best CGI and fight scenes I have ever seen. The iron man armour in this movie also looked at an all time best for the time it came out. The plot of this movie was how Tony Stark had to face enemies that he created by himself. The movie makes a point of how Stark went from his irresponsible self to a legit super hero by not only saving his wife, but also the president of the USA. This movie was very interesting because it had many plot twists. Without spoiling the movie the villain characters played a huge part in this movies success. And it showed how not everything is how it seems. The movie also showed off Tony Starks creativeness as even when he was left with little to nothing, he was still able to create anything he wanted/needed and that he is truly a genius. I would definitely recommend this movie to superhero fans and even normal people all around the world. 5/5 Stars.

Iron Man 3 is the third Iron Man movie following Iron Man one and two. Since saving New York from mass destruction after an almost alien invasion, Tony Stark is not well. He can not sleep and is extremely worried which leads him to being more dependent on the suits that give him his Iron Man persona. This is impacting every aspect of Tony Stark’s life, including his relationship with Pepper Potts. Coincidentally, a malevolent enemy known as the Mandarin is no the rise. This forces Tony to rely solely on instinct and ingenuity to make up for his losses and protect all the people that he loves. If you enjoyed the first two Iron Man movies I would definitely recommend this movie. It is not necessary to watch the first Avengers movie, but it will make the beginning part of the movie more understandable. This movie has a lot more action and is a little darker. Nevertheless the movie is still extremely entertaining and one of my personal favourites. For children, the movie is best to watch with parents. If I had to, I would rate this movie five out of five stars.

Wowsers! What a ride! Not much plot really, but who watches a Marvel Comic for the plot? CGI effects were great as was RDJ - actually, he was really, really good - and we enjoyed Guy Pearce as well. Ben Kingsley was wonderful as usual, and never having read the comic books, we thought he did a brilliant job as the Mandarin. Thrill a minute escapism - don't expect anything more.
This is the epitome of Hollywood entertainment. Lots of activity with no real achievement. The Air Force One scene is worth watching & reviewing in the bonus features because initially I thought it was totally Digital Domain work (Vancouver CGI FX crew), but they shot much of it with real skydivers, helmet cams, & a crazy zip line system. It says something about the plot & film when the most interesting & educational feature of this film is the production featurette & not the final cut.
My Comments are every thing was cool all until he blew up his suits and got read of what make him IRON MAN.
a lot of these movies are way overrated at times this movie is no different. there are some cool moments. just not enough.
Was really disappointed with this Iron Man movie. My favorite Avenger is Stark, so I was sad this was so bad. First the movie starts with Tony and this one girl and their one night stand. Then it fast forwards to Tony and Pepper living together, which I really don't like. The girl who he slept with ends up being a spy or something. I don't remember because I fell asleep.
Just an all around bad movie.
The whole time I was watching this I kept thinking why aren't the other Avengers helping him? Complete waste of time.
