If you enjoy the interaction of Virgil Cole and Everett Hitch this a great read. A quick paced book with a mystery that takes more than a few turns and twists. As a western it’s a good book. However one thing that is missing is the female conflict that only Robert B Parker could produce.

Great story. Moves fairly fast, with lots of nice vines and side stories. Nice twist at the end that I did not see coming. Not a real action packed story, but just enough to appeal to those who like the genre. Virgil and Everett are a great team.

If I hadn't seen the name on the front, I'd swear Robert B himself had written this. Virgil and Everett have all the same mannerisms and attitudes, the other characters are also good and it made a thoroughly enjoyable story.

This book is not written by Mr. Parker but another writer. So I have no interest in it.
