Taking place 5 years after the original film, this is the first where Jason is the villain, although he has yet to don his iconic hockey mask. It begins with a rather unnecessary prologue recounting events from the first film and featuring one of the survivors. What follows is predictable, formulaic, and, of course, bloody, but will appeal to fans of cheesy 80s slasher films. Jason would later acquire almost supernatural strength and be seemingly unkillable, but he's just a brutal killer here. The next film would be called "The Final Chapter," but there were like 10 more.
