This book is certainly more sophisticated than some of the other halloween books. It has lots of costume ideas, and instructions on how to make accessories like hats and masks. There is a section on pumpkin carving that also gives ideas for carving things that are not pumpkins ("un-pumpkins"). The decorations are different from other books I have looked at, which may give you new inspiration. There are also some ideas for themed parties (New Orleans Voodo Cocktail Party, Day of the Dead Dinner Party, and Masked Balls Dessert Party)
