This book is in the teen collection but it could be read by all ages. Great adventure story.
I didn't really care for this book (but I am a grown-up, so I might have enjoyed it twenty years ago).
However, my main problem with the book is that Nick McIver's relative from the past has no way to know anything about his future descendents, so how does he know where, when, and to whom to send the time-travelling device? If this issue was addressed in the book, I have to admit that I completely missed it. I kept reading on, waiting to find out how ancestor-McIver knew about his descendent, but I never found out. I had been expecting that he'd sent the time-travelling device to the future after descendent-Nick had already visited him in the past, which would have made some kind of confusing sense, but that is not what happened.
Amazing book!!! I could read it over and over. Ted Bell Sweeps you away with excellent writing , boggling storyline and unbeatable humor.
I currently have this book at home, and I am reading it for the, like, 5th time!!! This book is really interesting and funny. ;>
An adventure story along the lines of Treasure Island. Set during the Second World War, it features pirates, Nazis,Admiral Lord Nelson, and(of course) time travel.
Most certainly an awesome story.
