A very well done documentary from National Geographic featuring sons of the first men to summit Mt. Everest, Peter Hillary and Jamling Tenzing Norgay. Though Jamling Norgay remains at Base Camp, Peter Hillary completes the ascent up to Everests' summit with fellow reknowned climbers Pete Athens and Brent Bishop.

Focuses on both the mental and physical demands of making such a brutal, oxygen-deprived ascent along the Khumbu Icefall, the Western Cwm, Lohtse Face, South Col, South Summit, and the summit itself every step of the way. Also talks about the history of Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, the logistics / politics / religious aspects involved; as well as features great interviews with a few Sherpa and their families, which is rightfully deserved for any film featuring ascents to the summit of Everest by outsiders to their country.
