I was disappointed that it took so long for the mermaids to make a real appearance in the story and they were gone nearly as quickly as they came. Unfortunately the main character was basically exactly where she started when the book ended and I'm forced to agree with the mermaid's parents: it would have been better for everyone if Lena never came to their world.

I was sucked into this book the minute I borrowed it late August in the summer of 2014. I loved this book because I've always had a love for mermaids since my childhood days because I identify with them. Mermaids Mirror was more then just a mediocre mermaid book, it was a mystery of a family's past and present. Yes I admit it had some clichés but other than those minor details I loved it .

I like books about mermaids, but this one passes between "okay" and "good". It starts out really intriguing, and it's nice to read about her daily life and family life. By the time all the mermaid stuff happens, I found it was like reading a different book. She falls in love so easily, and suddenly there are not only mermaids, but sea goddesses and other things. I think the author should have simplified it a little more. However, any teens who like mermaid books will probably like this one as well.

Loved this book. Kinda reminds me of FORGIVE MY FINS by Tera Lynn Childs. It has a similar plot, but is completely different in ways. They're both completely unique and amazing in their own ways!

It was a very good book, but the way that Madigan ended the book was so sad and disapointing.
