Original, and I was surprised by the acting. Far better than I expected. Those not into sci-fi will enjoy the basic premise of an uncaring economic system that lets you die if you lack the funds.

An interesting movie with novel idea. People used their lifespan as currency, they could extent their life if they wanted to or they would die if their life time had been used up. Everybody got a timer in his own wrist so that he could known how long his life would last. A funny movie !

It has an interesting concept. They could have gone further with it but it's well used at least. Justin Timberlake is surprisingly not a terrible actor. The range of acting required of him here is pretty narrow, but he does an ok job at least. The plot is pretty basic but the sci-fi twist on it is nice. Pretty decent movie overall.

Extremely clever science fiction with a dis-topic view of the future where time has become a commodity that can be bought and sold. Among all the interesting complications that brings about, it makes you wonder, "what is more valuable to us than time?"

Very interesting sci-fi concept. Too bad the movie was so boring and poorly acted.

GOOD FLICK 4.5 stars

Pay attention at the beginning and you will understand the film - those whose complaint is that they did not understand the movie obviously did NOT pay attention early on. Strong commentary on capitalism, greed, and the way the "haves" reduce the "have nots" to an annoying statistic. Good acting - respectable dialogue - fine effects -the slightly open ending is refreshing for those of us who do not need to be spoon fed. It is a film that requires some thought so if you are looking for an action adventure with lots of needless explosions and such, look elsewhere. It is a little gritty. It held my attention all the way through and I appreciated the idea and the effort.

Great commentary on the direction of capitalism. Timberlake okay, other cast good, acting blaise. Worth the watch if you're in to subtext.

Other: This is a thinking movie - and might engender post film discourse - a rare and lovely thing indeed.

Coarse Language: One F word and a few S words.

Violence: There was a total BOOM HEADSHOT! moment, but that was probably the most hard core death. Aside from that, standard violence for any PG-13 movie I guess, nothing over the top.

Sexual Content: Midnight swim could be considered a sexual content worthy thing, although you don't see anything, it's clearing implied they left the clothing on the beach.
