Though marks the return of Lex, Lois and more of those flyby aerial footage of the WTC twin towers, it is the weakest film in the Superman series. However, the commentaries on Nuke weapons and profit over truth in journalism are important global issues today.

If you like the series, suggest The 4 films with Christopher Reeve as Kal-El/Superman/Clark Kent, suitable for binge watching, about 8 hours in total:

Superman, the movie 1978** (143 min.) - origin, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, Earthquake disaster...
Superman II 1980 (127 min.) - Will Kent and Lois do it already; Alien attack; Rare Eiffel Tower tour; more Lex Luthor...
Superman III 1983 (125 min.) - Will Kent and Lana Lang do it already; Ultimate A.I. computer; Doppelganger; more back story of Superman as a boy in Smallville...
Superman IV, the quest for peace 1987 (90min.)
Includes theatrical trailers, deleted scenes, commentary, and additional scenes

** Original 1978 theatrical version

From what I've heard, this is one of the worst superhero movies of all time.

I love Superman and all of the movies, but this one was a dog...

33 quotes posted in IMDb, thanks to its contributors. But this one on fake news is missing:

We've gotta tone down these headlines.
-Tone down our headlines? That's all the common man reads!
We can do with less sensationalism.
-Less sensational papers go broke. I thought I taught you long ago that
the business of newspapers is business.
No, Daddy... ...our business is journalism. We can't keep being so irresponsible... ...or we'll lead everyone into disaster.
And this one on war and peace is missing too:

I thought I could give you freedom from war but... I was wrong. It's not mine to give. We're still a young planet. There are galaxies out there... other civilizations for us to meet, to learn from. What a brilliant future we could have. And there will be peace when the people of the world... want it so badly... their governments will have to give it to them. I wish you could see the Earth the way that I see it... because when you really look
at it, it's just one world.
