Does space travel spark your wide-eyed interest? Well, eager space-cadets, with this documentary-DVD you can join along as a spectator with NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab in California as they meticulously design and equip 2, 6-wheeled, state-of-the-art rovers._____ Known as "Spirit" and "Opportunity", the boys and girls at NASA send these 2 un-manned automatons on a 7-month journey, traveling 300 million miles, to that distant planet of red called Mars._____ It is believed that about 3 billion years ago Mars actually sustained life and these 2 robot geologists land on the desolate and dusty surface of said planet looking for vital clues to confirm this theory._____ This intriguing documentary from 2006 has a running time of only 40 minutes._____ As an impressive added bonus on this DVD, check out 1957's "Mars And Beyond" from Disney Studios. This mainly-animated, 50-minute film is introduced by Walt Disney, himself._____ This presentation features some really remarkable artists' interpretations of the weird and wonderful life-forms that may actually exist on Mars._____ As well, this 1957 gem presents a splendid look at space pioneers of the future and their awesome, atomic, electrically-powered spaceships that journey together as a team to distant Mars._____ Personally, I found this featurette to be a lot more interesting than this DVD's main attaction._____ Believe me, from a 1950's perspective, "Mars And Beyond" is a rip, roarin' ride of a lifetime for those interested in fantastic space travel!

An interesting documentary-type film that brings out your inner wannabe-NASA-engineer.
