This coming of age movie is about a high school nerd who has a huge crush on the hottest girl in school. Feeling randomly courageous, he announces in front of graduation in front of everyone his undying love for her. To his surprise, she is not repulsed. I found this movie actually kind of charming and funny at times since it doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s meant to be kind of bad which in a way makes it better. I would rate this movie 3.5/5 stars and would recommend it to those who like more relaxed teen films. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

This movie is supposed to be a raunchy teen comedy but falls flat. Don't waste your time - read the book, it's MUCH funnier.

This isn't my usual type of movie but I wanted to see it based solely on the fact that Hayden Panettiere is in it as I really enjoyed watching her in Heroes. Well I made a good decision because it turned out to be quite funny, and had a neat story line. And while I wouldn't recommend this one to everyone I'd still say its worth checking out. This is perfect for fans of off beat comedies.

Skip It - I Love You, Beth Cooper (2009) 102 min. To think that this garbage was directed by Christopher Columbus, the same director who did the first two Home Alone pictures and a couple of Harry Potter films. There are no redeeming qualities present in this film. The scenes are juvenile, which include a muscle-bound boyfriend beating up on the “nerdy” protagonist for most of the film and let’s not forget the dreaded wet towel fight scene?!? Not even Hayden Panettiere, who plays Claire on Heroes, could pull this one out of mediocrity.

Denis Cooverman: I'm sorry I'm so pathetic.
Beth Cooper: Let me tell you something. All boys are pathetic.
Denis Cooverman: Well, then I apologize on behalf of all boys. And sorry for all the wars and stuff.
Beth Cooper: You're funny.

Rich Munsch: You know where she lives, go to her house, bring a boom box, wait for her...
Denis Cooverman: That's stalking, Rich.
Rich Munsch: It's not stalking if you love the person, you gotta grab her and throw her in the car and take her someplace where it can be the two of you.
Denis Cooverman: Now, that's kidnapping!
Rich Munsch: Its romantic... Okay, first we're gonna need some rope and duct tape.
