Let Me in
DVD - 2011
Abby, an eerily self-possessed young girl, emerges from her heavily curtained apartment only at night and always barefoot, seemingly immune to the bitter winter elements. Owen, an alienated 12-year-old boy, recognizes a fellow outcast and opens up to her, forming a unique bond. But as a string of grisly murders occupy his town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl might be hiding an unthinkable secret.

Add a CommentWow. What a beautiful movie. It combines my two favorite things to perfection: vampires and the 1980s. Exceptionally good acting.
Not as bad as I expected after reading reviews, but the original is better as many people say.
Some scenes are almost identical, some are totally different.
The car accident scene is dumb in this version, but other scenes like the cat attack are pretty stupid in the original. The nurse catching fire in this version is ridiculous.
The characters are stiff & bored most of the time.
Not your typical vampire movie, which was nice for a change. I thought he children's acting was superb. Has a lot of pretty gory scenes & Owen's bullies are truly cruel, but overall I liked it.
This is a movie that didn't need to be made. Stick with the original, "Let the Right One In" out of Sweden. This remake is bigger budget, more stylized, has bigger stars, and just falls flat in comparison.
This is a re-make but for once, a re-make that is as well made as the original; actually I prefer this version because of the amazing performances of Chloe and Kodi, especially Chloe. While the actress in the original was very good she doesn't have the special something that makes Ms. Moretz the most highly sought after young actress in Hollywood right now.(she has four movies coming out in 2016) Let Me In is well worth your time.
Awesome movie!!
not bad
Very different than your typical horror movie. Much more romantic, with minimal focus on the actual horror. That being said I did really enjoy this.
It was ok very different vampire movie not scary makes you think a little
I just wish people would stop taking library materials. I really wanted to see "Let the Right One In", the Swedish original movie. Let Me In is a remake. It's okay . . . enjoyed it . . . but PEOPLE!!! Stop taking library materials. So many things I've wanted to see have gone "Missing". I actually bought the dvd "Let Me In" and do enjoy it. Some good gore.
