Serviceable but lacks charisma. Not an improvement on Hamilton or Bulfinch.

Wonderful book! I am so glad I got an opportunity to learn about Greek and Roman gods, goddess, love stories, heroes, etc. Recommended for Greek and Roman mythology lovers!

At last Leander found his voice: "Most excellent maiden, fairest flower that ever bloomed on these shores, I swear my intentions are nothing but honourable. I have admired you for so long and love you with all my heart. I would never treat you with anything but respect."
