Very useful and accessible description of the HPA axis and other body systems, the way they respond to trauma and stress throughout life, and their ongoing role in adult health. The chapters and suggestions on prevention aren't terribly useful to adult survivors, especially those who aren't parents, but the rest of the book was practical and well-written.
