"Flashpoint has changed the DC Universe, and nothing is as it was before. Now, Abin Sur never died, and Hal Jordan never became the Green Lantern of Sector 2814. Earth has yet to be dragged into the Blackest Night, but a new horror awaits it-- a war between Atlantis and the Amazons that threatens to destroy the world-- and the Life Entity that dwells within it. In his mission to protect all life, Abin will defy the Guardians of the Universe and stand with earth's heroes to fight Wonder Woman and Aquaman and end the war, but to embrace his destiny he'll have to battle his best friend: the Green Lantern Sinestro. And though he's not a Lantern in this world, Captain Hal Jordan will become a true hero when he flies a mission that has the potential to turn the tide of the war-- and to be his last. Oliver Queen will struggle to find the hero inside when a mysterious assailant attacks 'Green Arrow Industries,' and... 'Frankenstein and the creatures of the unknown' [shows] that in a strange world like this, the strangest heroes may be the greatest heroes. Frank and his Creature Commandos won World War II for the Allies-- can they turn the tide in this war, as well?" -- p. [4] of cover.

Some familiar yet different heroes occupy the Flashpoint universe and this is the fourth of several volumes exploring who those heroes are.

This is a collection of three authors stories. Two are unremarkable, but the Jeff Lemire is excellent.

Another in the set of Flashpoint alternate reality collections. Two of the stories here concern themselves with various Green Lanterns (and those who would have been Green Lanterns. There's a different take on Green Arrow, and surprisingly, the strongest story of the lot revolves around the Frankenstein monster and a group of fellow creatures making their way through a strange world.
